Every kiss begins with Kay.

It’s one of the most famous taglines ever, making Kay Jeweler’s rise to the top in the market for decades, but could the sparkle of America’s number one jewelry store continue to shine for the next generation? I joined STERN as a creative within the target market for the new Kay shopper. Together, we reinvented Kay with beautiful visuals, authentic messaging, and purpose.

At the time, Kay was very new to social media. I became an expert in directing photo and video shoots for tabletop and lifestyle in the jewelry and diamond industry, working with talented photographers in Los Angeles, New York, and Cleveland. We created dozens of formulas for content creation shoots and shot hundreds of compositions and even built up specialty studios in the local Cleveland area for this industry.

Kay was utilizing branding for each brand they carried at the time. We created a unified look for Kay as a retailer, and messaging to help differentiate the unique characteristics of the brands they sell.
